Ron and Michelle Jennings
Philippines
Children: Three grown daughters (Robyn, Natalie and Stephanie) living in Australia.
- Ron and Michelle serve with New Tribes Church Planters of the Philippines (Previously – New Tribes Mission).
- In 1981 they pioneered outreach to the Higa-unon tribal people in the remote mountains of Central Mindanao. This involved learning and writing down a language never previously written.
- The Higa-unon church is now well-established. Local leaders have been commissioned, and tribal evangelists are reaching out to other groups in their tribal area.
- The Jennings have established a printery to produce teaching materials in the Higa-unon language, and a small hydro project to generate power for their ministry equipment.
- Ron and Michelle are now primarily engaged in completing Bible translation. The New Testament and Old Testament from Genesis to Esther, Eccl, Isaiah, Daniel, Jonah are finished. They are currently translating Ezekiel.
All of the translated Higa-unon Scripture has been put into a Bible app for use on smart phones that the church leaders and teachers now have.
