Missionaries to Japan
Five adult children all living in different parts of Japan, two of whom are assisting with the ministry:
Susannah & Shuto Yoshida & Ailah Malachi
The Evans family are independent Baptist missionaries to Japan.
They are based in the town of Kita Hiroshima, on the northern island of Hokkaido.
In the early 90’s, the Evans established a testimony for the Lord, initially through English-teaching classes, community involvement and personal witnessing.
The Suzuran Church is now well-established, with regular services in their own premises and a full church programme covering all ages from newborn to the elderly. Their ministry includes a small Bible institute to train local believers for the ministry. Tony & Debbie also have a ministry training new missionaries to the field and encouraging & helping other missionaries and national pastors.
Japan is a hard mission field and costs of living are high.
